Students have ARMT + Reading testing this week. These tests will take up approximately half of the school day. Since students cannot have homework and will only have about 30 min. in each class/day, we will be completing work for Ch. 16 and 17 in class. Every day this week, students will come in and work. When they finish with Ch. 16, I will grade their work as they begin Ch. 17. All work for both chapters is due this Friday, May 10th.
Notebook Quiz this Friday!

Students will work on this in class today and tomorrow.
No Homework
Tuesday, April 9th, 2013
Students will continue their Roller Coaster webquest, completing before the end of the class period.
Bonus Opportunity: Students have been challenged to create word problems that creates a situation that begins with the information needed to calculate speed (distance and time) and requires the “problem solver” to work through Acceleration, Force, Work and ending with the final product being Power. This will take much careful planning and calculation. Students can do up to 3 problems, earning 5 bonus points for each problem. DUE, Tuesday, April 16th.
No Homework
Wednesday, April 10th, 2013
Students will turn in their completed webquests and proceed to design their own roller coaster. They will have to identify areas of Kinetic and Potential energy, they will have to include specific elements (loops, corkscrew turns, hills, etc.), and they will have to name their coaster and give it a theme. Students will work with a partner in their design and drawing.
No Homework
Thursday, April 11th, 2013
Students will continue their design/draw process and complete their roller coasters in class. They will share their design with the class.
No Homework.
Friday, April 12th, 2013
Students will begin Ch. 14, Simple Machines.
