Newbery News!

Celebrate the announcement of the 2012 Newbery Award with breakfast furnished by Waffle House in the LPMS Library. In order to attend you must read a book that has been award the Newbery Medal or Newbery Honor Award and complete one of the following projects. Be sure to include the title, author, and year the medal was awarded for the book that you choose. Projects are due Friday, February 24. Waffle House will be here on Friday, March 2.  Books by Cynthia Lord and Linda Sue Park are excluded from this project.

1. 1.Make a 30 sec.-1 min. imovie about a Newbery Award winning book or a Newbery Honor Book. Include characters, author and setting and why you think other students may or may not enjoy reading this novel.
   

2. 2.Write a book report about a Newbery Award winning book. Be sure to include title and author, character descriptions of three to five characters, setting description, problem, three (minimum) important events, the solution, and what the character learned.
   

3. Make a  poster about a Newbery Award winning book. Be sure to include author, characters, setting, plot and theme.
