      <description>MONDAY - Students begin Lesson 20 in their vocabulary workbooks. NO CHOICE WORK FOR THIS UNIT. We will check the workbook pages on Friday.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;TUESDAY - We will work on Unit 20 vocabulary. Students will also finish reading the story from their lit books, “The Naming of Names”.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;WEDNESDAY - [Yearbook Assembly in the morning. 6th period probably will not meet at all.] We will read a short screenplay from our lit book.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;THURSDAY - Pirates’ Day! Come ready for fun!&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;FRIDAY - [Band/Choir program - classes will be short.] We will check and turn in our Unit 20 vocab pages.</description>

We will also start reading a new story from our literature books.</description>

Complete page 131 in your sentence packet.&lt;br/&gt;Vocab due tomorrow.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;WEDNESDAY - Turn in Unit 15 vocab pages. Today is also the Unit 15 vocab quiz. We will work through our sentence packet.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;THURSDAY - Short story lesson; we will discuss Zoo and The Ruum from the lit books; we will take notes about short story elements.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;FRIDAY - We will finish our sentence packet.       <description>MONDAY - Vocabulary Smackdown! No homework.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;TUESDAY - We begin Unit 15 in our vocabulary workbooks - due next Tuesday along with choice work!&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;WEDNESDAY - We practice our listening and comprehension skills by reading a choose-your-own-adventure book. No homework.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;THURSDAY - TBA&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;FRIDAY - Students will work in houses to score points playing Scrabble. No homework.</description>

      <description>MONDAY - We checked Unit 13 vocabulary pages. Students turned in section E; I took a grade on A-D also. Absent students need to turn these in when they return.&lt;br/&gt;We also checked our Adverb Practice worksheet and Preposition worksheet. I took the Adv. WS for a grade. Students kept Preposition WSs to study for the quiz. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;TUESDAY - Students review prepositions and learn about interjections and conjunctions. &lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;WEDNESDAY - Students receive an adverb practice worksheet, which we go over in class.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;THURSDAY - Students read two stories from the Literature textbook.&lt;br/&gt;Instructions: read “Zoo” on page 85. Then read “The Ruum” on page 89. Then follow the directions on page 107: write two paragraphs comparing and contrasting the stories. Then write one sentence telling which story you like better and why.&lt;br/&gt;EXTRA GRAMMAR PRACTICE AVAILABLE FROM ME OR DOWNLOAD THE LINKS BELOW.&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;FRIDAY - GRAMMAR QUIZ!
